What is Concierge Medicine?

Concierge Medicine is a membership-based medical practice that provides more personalized and comprehensive care with quick access to doctors and shorter wait times for a set fee.

A close relationship with a trusted primary care physician (PCP) can make a huge difference, whether you or a loved one want to maintain optimal health or manage a complex or chronic condition. That’s why UC San Diego Health created this special medical service where we actively partner with you on your health journey with a unique and whole-person approach.

Concierge Medicine and Insurance

This exceptional primary care program is an add-on to your existing health insurance plan, which typically covers standard features like physical examinations, office visits, procedures and hospitalization.

You pay a flat annual membership fee that gives you extra benefits, including individualized attention, longer consults, fewer hassles, round-the-clock physician availability, comprehensive health assessments and ongoing care management.

Concierge Medicine services are not available with HMO plans. Please call us at 858-657-5000 to find out which insurance plans are accepted by us.

Our Concierge Medicine program has limited enrollment, so your PCP has more time to focus on your overall wellness and preventive care. You and your doctor work together on your specific needs while immediately addressing any health issues as soon as they arise.

Customized Lifestyle Assessment

We focus on you as a whole person rather than treating a specific condition or ailment. To optimize your well-being, your personalized membership plan includes the following benefits.

Comprehensive Wellness Evaluation

You receive a comprehensive wellness evaluation every year, provided in partnership with UC San Diego Health's Step Family Cardiac Rehabilitation and Wellness Center at Jacob's Medical Center. This helps our experts develop a wellness plan for your health needs.

The evaluation includes a body composition analysis and one-on-one consultations with a registered dietitian and a clinical exercise physiologist. After the visit, you'll receive a full report with personalized dietary and exercise recommendations.

Stress Management Services

Once a year, you meet with our integrative psychiatrist who is an expert in stress management and well-being. He provides life coaching guidance, including mindfulness practices, stress reduction techniques, meditation instruction and tools for sleep.

Membership Guidelines & Annual Fees

Membership is available in our Concierge Medicine program to you and your family members (ages 10 and older) for an annual enrollment fee. Please call 858-657-5000 for more information.

Annual Membership Fees

Individuals ages 10 to 26: $2,500
Individuals over age 26: $4,000
Couple: $7,000

Please note:

You may change your individual, couple or family membership status at any time with a written 30-day notice.
Concierge Medicine memberships are not transferable to another individual.
Due to federal regulations, we will need to bill your insurance, as appropriate, for your annual physical examinations, office visits and procedures.
